Applications will be accepted Wednesday, July 1, 2026 12:00 AM - Friday, July 10, 2026 11:59 PM (Eastern Standard Time)Job DescriptionMock Trial is a club that is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students at Marple Newtown and offers the students a multitude of activities as well as an opportunity to socialize and make lasting friendships.Date of PostingDate of Posting: July 1, 2026Units: 4Location: Marple Newtown High SchoolNumber of Positions: 1EffectiveEffective: 2026-2027 School YearQualificationsExperience: Experience working with school age students and coordinating and managing events.Skills: Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills.Education: Valid PA teaching certificate.Ability to work with students of all ability levels.Essential FunctionsA faculty advisor acts as a liaison between the school administration and the club, providing guidance to student leaders and members.Organize and supervise the high school Mock Trial team, including scheduling and leading regular practices outside the school day to prepare students for competition.Coordinate participation in local, regional, and state Young Lawyers Division of the PA Bar Association Mock Trial competitions, including completing registrations, managing logistics, and ensuring compliance with competition rules and deadlines.Foster student skill development and teamwork, providing feedback on performance, promoting professionalism, and supporting students in developing public speaking, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.Has read and understands obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies.Other duties as assigned by Administration.Frequency of meetings: September – June; meet 1/week for an hour; 8-10 events per yearApproximate number of students enrolled: Approximately 40 studentsClearances: In accordance with the school code, Act 24 and All related clearances.Application ProcedureInterested candidates should submit an on-line application.Application will be accepted until Friday, July 10, 2026 11:59 PM (Eastern Standard Time).The position holder must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
