Corrections Technician

About the JobProvides support to corrections officers in maintaining the security and welfare of inmates in the Polk County jail. Responsibilities include monitoring and operating the automated security system, maintaining jail records, verifying warrants, and operating various office equipment. The role does not require police certification because it is distinguished from the Corrections Deputy Sheriff by the lack of daily physical contact with inmates. Control of jail security is achieved through voice commands and automated locking‑unlocking devices.
