This is general duty police work, serving legal processes, maintaining order and providing for the care and security of prisoners at the Mobile County Metro Jail.Location & CompensationJurisdiction: MOBILE COUNTY.Annual Salary Range: $50,526 - $80,774 (Amended 10/17/25).Minimum Qualification RequirementsGraduation from a standard senior high school or successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, as in accordance with the APOSTC Administrative Code, and preferably some corrections or law enforcement experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.Special RequirementsMust possess a valid driver's license from state of residence. Must be at least 21 years of age – no maximum age limit.
