Intern, Technical Undergraduate Year-Round - Security Information Systems, HybridWe are seeking a Year-Round Technical Undergraduate Intern to join our dynamic team! As a student intern on the Security Information Systems team, you will play an important role assisting in the software planning, configuration, and testing processes for our team.ResponsibilitiesSupport Safeguards & Security in their efforts to protect people, information, facilities, and materials to enable Sandia's national security mission.Assist in the software planning, design, configuration, development, and testing processes.Work on a dynamic team contributing to software development projects based on project needs.Support Sandia's mission by improving operations, offering innovative solutions, and managing risk for corporate activities.Partner and learn from senior team members about Sandia's Enterprise System software development methodology.The selected applicant will work a combination of onsite and offsite work and must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.Salary RangeAt Sandia, interns earn competitive pay rates based on earned credit hours, classification, and degree level. The pay rate will be determined during the hire process and included in the offer package. You can view the Intern Pay Rate chart here ( RequiredCurrently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited undergraduate program.Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.Should not have earned an HS diploma or equivalent; if so, apply to a high school intern position.Qualifications DesiredPursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Experience developing web applications using Angular Material, HTML, and JQuery, with familiarity in managing deployments on IIS and Azure Stack infrastructure.Effective communication skills with management, customers, and IT partners.Knowledge of Agile software development processes and tools.Action-oriented, produces results, and accomplishes tasks within required timeframes.Leadership, accepting responsibility and accountability.Planning and scheduling work properly, scheduling effectively, and accomplishing efficiently.Quality output that meets or exceeds standards, accurate and complete.Teamwork, works collaboratively focusing on team needs, provides recognition, open and supportive.Flexibility, accepts change, and is open and supportive of innovative ideas and methods.Security ClearanceApplicants must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
