OverviewThe Neurodiagnostic Technologist is responsible for applying EEGs, conducting studies, and performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting in line with facility policies and procedures. They carry out tasks appropriate to their level of competence and training under general technical supervision, which may include providing findings, results, and a descriptive analysis.Multiple Shift Options Available (7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. OR 12:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. OR 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.)This position qualifies for a sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance if moving 50+ miles.QualificationsCertificate of Completion – Neurodiagnostic TechAssociate's Degree – Related FieldExperience in lieu of Education – Neurodiagnostic TechLicenses/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA)Organizational ability necessary. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others. Ability to accept and institute changes. Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and skills essential.ResponsibilitiesCleans and disinfects equipment with appropriate solutions. Follows infection control policies.Completes EEGs/LTMs.Documents appropriate data in patient chart and lab files.Explains tests and procedures to patients to obtain optimal results.Performs accurate documentation.Performs all types of EEGs, including bedside, electrical cerebral silence, and standard lab EEGs.Prepares patients for examinations and procedures; provides patient with instructions and explanations as needed; understands and communicates based on age‑appropriate information.Troubleshoots equipment; follows division policy to arrange repair service when indicated.Potential to complete all types of neurodiagnostic tests (in accordance with competence/training).Potential to notify Neuroscience physician as needed for grossly abnormal EEG tracings (in accordance with competence/training).Hook ups.Clean ups.Cleaning of electrodes.Documenting in chart.Putting patient history on testing equipment.Additional duties as assigned in accordance with competence/training.Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation range for this position is $26.23 per hour – $43.80 per hour. This represents a good‑faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
