The candidate shall be responsible for fire/life safety (FLS) engineering in accordance with Arora's mission of "Improving the quality of life by Rethinking Infrastructure". They must exhibit the ability to advance their knowledge and develop FLS designs under the oversight of Arora's licensed Fire Protection Engineers and NICET certified designers. The candidate shall demonstrate strong communication skills, an analytical approach to problem solving, a curiosity to learn and passion for the fire/life safety profession.Essential Functions:Learn and apply the principles of FLS engineering to real world projects.Support the FLS team in the development and delivery of high-quality engineering design documents to clients.Participate in project meetings with engineers, clients and authorities having jurisdiction.Develop engineering contract documents including technical reports, drawings, specifications and calculations.Utilize AutoCAD and Revit drafting skills.Assist in analyzing codes and standards.Assist in the performance of water-based fire protection and fire alarm calculations.Assist in the selection and specification of products.Exercise responsible and ethical judgment in the execution of daily tasksPerform additional functions as required by business needs.Needed Skills:Passion for the design of water-based fire protection and fire alarm systems.Familiarity with NFPA codes and standardsFamiliarity with model building codesFamiliarity with AutoCAD and Revit computer aided drafting softwareExperience with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam/Adobe softwareAbility to analyze technical problems in a methodical and detail-oriented manner.Ability to collaborate with team members in both in-person and virtual settings.Ability to communicate technical concepts in both verbal and written format.Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.Education/Experience Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.Preferred Education/Experience Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or Engineering Technology.#J-18808-Ljbffr
