Security Support Position
Incumbent provides security support both indoors and outdoors for the protection of tribal property, employees and visitors, and also assists the Tribal Police Department.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge of security operations and procedures
Ability to write and/or keyboard for completing reports and logs
Ability to perform Essential Duties with demands which include:
- Climbing stairs and patrolling on foot and driving a car for extended periods of time
- Using phone, cell phone and two-way radio
- Reading and understanding written information
- Communicating orally
- Lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds, pushing/pulling, kneeling, climbing, crouching and reaching
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Ability to work in adverse outdoor conditions such as extreme cold, extreme heat and wetness
Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
High school diploma or equivalent
One (1) year of security or related experience
One (1) year of driving experience
Valid motor vehicle operator's license from state of residence
No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude or issues of integrity
Depending upon assignment, successful candidate must pass the background check and continue to be eligible for employment in accordance with The Mohegan Tribe's Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Policy
