Dispatcher II PT Cullman Regional Ambulance Service - Cullman, AL 35055Overview Position Type PRN -.3 Job Shift Any Category EMSDescription Job Summary:EMD all 911 and non-emergency calls received in dispatch.Appropriately dispatch and provide directions to all ambulance calls.Maintain situational awareness of the need of the 911 system.Maintain all paperwork and keep records as required by a dispatcher.Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.Qualifications Education: High school graduate (or equivalent) and must hold or be able to obtain APCO and Priority Dispatch EMD and EFD certifications within 6 months of hire. Must maintain CPR certification. Train on CAD, Communication, and 911 phone systems until proficient.Experience: Dispatch experience with Spillman CAD systems is preferred but not required.Additional Skills/Abilities: General typing and computer skills, Spillman CAD system, Microsoft Office IE: (Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook). Professional communication skills with the ability to communicate with 911 callers, patients, coworkers, doctors, nurses. Excellent customer service skills. ICS courses required are 100, 200, 700, 701, 702, 703, 704, and 800.
