This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive individual who takes pride in protecting people, property, and assets through vigilant monitoring, responsive service, and professional conduct.Position OverviewAs a Loss Prevention Officer, you will serve as a visible security presence throughout the facility, ensuring the safety of guests and the integrity of the building. You will combine strong observational skills with excellent interpersonal abilities to both deter incidents and respond effectively when they occur. This role involves frequent standing and walking throughout your shift as you conduct rounds and engage with guests. The hourly rate for this position is $22.75.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist guests with requests, questions, and concerns in a courteous and professional manner, serving as a helpful point of contact throughout the facility.Conduct regular patrols and rounds throughout the building to identify and address potential security risks, safety hazards, or suspicious activity.Monitor and review surveillance camera systems to detect unusual behavior, security breaches, or policy violations in real time.Document and write detailed, accurate incident reports for any security events, accidents, disturbances, or irregularities observed during your shift.Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or guest concerns, taking appropriate action in accordance with established protocols.Secure entry and exit points, ensuring access control procedures are followed consistently throughout the facility.Collaborate with management and team members to communicate security concerns and contribute to a safe overall environment.Maintain a high level of visibility and professionalism to deter theft, vandalism, and other loss prevention risks.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.Prior experience in security, loss prevention, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.Ability to stand, walk, and remain physically active for extended periods throughout the shift.Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate incident reports.Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure or emergency situations.Confidentiality is extremely important.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience operating or reviewing CCTV or surveillance camera systems.Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security best practices.CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.Experience working in a retail, hospitality, or high-traffic public environment.Technical SkillsProficiency with surveillance and camera monitoring systems.Basic computer skills for report writing and documentation.Ability to use two-way radios or communication devices effectively.Application InformationIf you are a dependable, service-minded professional ready to take on a meaningful role as a Loss Prevention Officer in {ADDRESS}, we encourage you to apply.
