Logistics Technician

The Logistic Technician will provide support services during the assigned shift in accordance with the Grady Health System Policies & Procedures and the EMS operations manual. This individual will coordinate with the Lead Logistic Technician on a daily basis to ensure all assignments are completed, and assume responsibility for decision-making regarding operations in the absence of the Lead Logistic Technician. In addition, the Logistic Tech will act as a role model by having a high level of technical competence in the area of support services, and demonstrate complete understanding of all aspects of the support services division. Furthermore, this individual will ensure all on-line vehicles and equipment are in an acceptable state of readiness at all times, and will be held accountable for exemplifying excellent service behavior and timely responsiveness to co-workers, patients, clients, visitors, physicians and vendors.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must possess accurate basic math skills
  • Must possess basic knowledge of medical terminology
  • Exercise excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently
  • Must hold and maintain a current and valid Driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record per departmental policy
  • Must be available for 24 hour recall in emergency situations
  • Must be flexible with assigned work schedule to meet department demands
