All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.SECURITY OFFICER / SECURITY GUARD DUTIESAbility to provide a visual security presenceConduct regular rounds of industrial and commercial premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows and gatesPromotes positive public relations by offering courteous service to all tenants, visitors, and guests and responding to their requests.Perform checks on windows, doors, gates, stairwells, fire exits, and other areas as assigned by client or that a trespasser may use to gain illegal access, and insure that they are properly secureWrite reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences including standing water or fire hazards and failure indicators on mechanical or electrical equipmentRespond to alarms and report disturbancesResponds without hesitation and assists with all emergencies as required, within the scope of the officer's training and expertiseAdheres to Security Policies and Procedures manual.Contact Manager as appropriate per company protocolsInform persons of rule infractions or violations such as loitering, smoking, carrying forbidden articlesAssist in evacuation buildings in case of emergencyControl crowds as required by job siteOther duties as assigned by supervisor or required by contract with customer based on their individual security needsAvailability expectations are that the top candidates be available on nights, weekends, and holidays for scheduled shifts.POSITION REQUIREMENTSSuccessfully complete minimum Level II Security training through a school licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau (PSB), PRIORITY GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WITH ACTIVE NON-COMMISSIONED SECURITY REGISTRATION.Must be at least 18 years of ageAble to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writingCustomer service orientationAbility to remain calm under pressure and handle crisis situationsCritical thinking and sound judgmentVisual acuity and hearing ability to observe and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sourcesAbility to perform general physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and/or moving the entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, sitting, and standing for long periods of time.Position: Unarmed Security Guard/ Level IINumber of Openings: 2Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time and/or Part-TimeThis position is currently accepting applications.#J-18808-Ljbffr
