They translate customer needs into strategic and technical guidance for the development team and possess a blend of technical, financial, contractual, and customer‑management skills. Project Developers communicate with senior executives within our organization and the customer's organization to ensure a risk‑mitigated, customer‑centric project.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical/financial support of sales activitiesFinancial modeling of Energy Performance ContractsProposal writing and review / QC management and coordination of proposal teamConduct walk‑throughs of customer facilities to determine project viabilityInterview customers to determine facility needs and assess expectationsAssist in preparing customer presentationsPresent the business case of proposals at oral interviews and customer meetingsFinancial Modeling of Energy Performance Contracts:Combine energy savings values, sub‑contracted costs, and purchased material costs and incorporate these data into NORESCO's financial modelReview energy savings and costs for reasonableness based on past experience, metrics, and project knowledgeAnalyze Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) for technical and financial viabilityIdentify ECM and project cost and savings risks and develop a plan to manage and mitigate these risksProposal Writing and Review / QC:Responsible for financial sections of the proposalReview ECM write‑ups and other technical proposal sections to mitigate risk and address customer pain pointsCoordinate proposal document strategy and tactics with the teamAuthor and review sections for competitive RFP responses for new site selectionsSupported by a Proposal Administrator to review, edit, and assemble preliminary assessment and IGA/DFS documentsManagement and Coordination of Development Team:Act as the primary point of contact with the customer during project developmentManage the proposal team (Account Executive, Senior Energy Engineer(s), Lighting and Water Auditor/Designer, Construction Manager, O&M, M&V Specialist, Legal and Finance)Host regular conference calls to communicate strategy, review responsibilities, and track progress against milestonesCoordinate and lead risk review meetings prior to proposal submission, presenting the business case to senior managementManage the PA and IGA/DFS budgets and timelines to deliver project deliverables on time and within budgetSecure project awardStay engaged through implementation and performance phases to manage contract compliance and customer satisfactionRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree5+ years' experience as a project developer, project engineer, and/or in project managementUS citizen (required by contractual agreements)Preferred QualificationsExperience working on Federal ESPC and UESC projects is a plusExperience in the development of Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) projects and/or Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESC)General engineering knowledge of HVAC, lighting & controls, DDC/pneumatic controls, and building envelope; experience with resiliency measures, including onsite generation (PV, CHP, etc.), battery storage, microgrid, a distinct plusSkilled with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPointStrong technical writing skillsSales aptitude and keen business acumen; strong communication, project management, and team leadership skillsPay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 – $192,000.00, depending on skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications.Other CompensationShort‑term cash incentives are available subject to plan requirements.BenefitsHealth Care Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision; Wellness incentivesRetirement BenefitsTime off and Leave: Paid vacation days, up to 15 days; paid sick days, up to 5 days; paid personal leave, up to 5 days; paid holidays, up to 13 days; birth and adoption leave; parental leave; family and medical leave; bereavement leave; jury duty leave; military leave; purchased vacationDisability: Short‑term and long‑term disabilityLife Insurance and Accidental Death and DismembermentTax‑Advantaged Accounts: Health Savings Account; Health Care Spending Account; Dependent Care Spending AccountTuition AssistanceCarrier EEO Statement and Accommodations ProcessCarrier is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
