Assistant Corporation Counsel Supervisor – Torts Division (Job Number: 419244)The City of Chicago Law Department is seeking an attorney for the position of Assistant Corporation Counsel (“ACC”) Supervisor in its Torts Division.Torts has an active litigation and trial practice defending the City and its employees in personal injury lawsuits filed in the Circuit Court of Cook County. The Division is particularly interested in candidates with substantial medical malpractice litigation experience; however, attorneys with significant experience in premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and police litigation are encouraged to apply.The Assistant Corporation Counsel Supervisor is responsible for an individual docket of cases often with higher exposure and in-depth discovery and motion practices, serves as lead counsel at jury trials, makes settlement recommendations, and engages in negotiations.
