Job DutiesJury Analysts are responsible to the Commissioner of Jurors for overseeing the operations necessary for providing qualified grand and trial jurors to the courts. They recommend policies and procedures, supervise key activities related to jury qualification and summons, and assist with management and administrative functions. The Senior Jury Analyst will be assigned to the Commissioner of Jurors Office in Oneida County and will perform the following duties:Oversee operations necessary for providing qualified grand and trial jurors to the courtsRecommend policies and proceduresSupervise activities of qualifying, summoning, non‑compliance enforcement, impaneling, and assigning individuals to serve as jurorsPrepare juror payrollsAssist with formulating jury management policiesAssist the Commissioner of Jurors with administrative tasksMonitor countywide juror pool to ensure sufficient numbers for all courts in Oneida CountySend questionnaires and review them to determine qualificationAssist in determining number of jurors to be summonedOversee the mailing of summonses to jurors and determine requests for disqualification, excusal, or postponementGreet jurors during the orientation process and explain procedures, laws, and policies related to jury serviceMaintain attendance records and prepare juror payrollsOversee non‑compliance enforcementPrepare budget requests and consult with the Commissioner in determining priorities for resource allocationRequired skills include strong public speaking ability, clear and concise communication, proficiency in proper English grammar, punctuation, and spelling, and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction. Some travel may be required.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and related softwareAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritiesGood organizational and analytical skillsExperience with data analysis and reporting is a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
