Shared Patrol Security Officer
Shift Schedule: Overnight
Position Overview: We are seeking a professional and observant Shared Patrol Security Officer to provide patrol coverage for multiple retail and commercial properties within a designated service area. The officer will be responsible for conducting scheduled and random patrols, ensuring the safety of tenants, employees, and visitors, and serving as a visible deterrent to theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vehicle and foot patrols across assigned client properties, including retail centers, office buildings, and parking areas.
- Check doors, gates, and access points to ensure they are properly secured.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, or calls for service in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete detailed patrol and incident reports through the company's reporting system after each visit.
- Provide a visible and professional security presence to deter criminal activity.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, property management, and law enforcement when necessary.
- Maintain strong situational awareness and take initiative to resolve minor issues before they escalate.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Ability to remain alert and professional while patrolling multiple properties during a shift.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess or be eligible for a valid security license (as required by local jurisdiction).
- Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods and work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Work Environment: This role involves working independently in a patrol vehicle throughout the shift, covering multiple client locations. The Shared Patrol Security Officer represents First Class Security at every stop, ensuring that each property receives consistent, reliable, and professional service.
