Working remotely, the Marine Designer will support the development and construction of maritime vessels by utilizing ShipConstructor to create detailed 2D and 3D designs, manage complex systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Key responsibilitiesDevelop detailed 2D and 3D designs and technical drawings for marine vessels using ShipConstructor and AutoCADLayout and route complex marine systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standardsCreate accurate fabrication drawings and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the ShipConstructor databaseRequired qualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree or technical certification in Drafting or Engineering Technology preferred2 to 10+ years of CAD drafting and design experience in the marine/shipbuilding industryProficiency in ShipConstructor and familiarity with complementary software such as AutoCAD and RhinoStrong understanding of ship construction techniques and the ability to interpret technical specificationsMust be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
