Serves as a Regional Desk Officer with responsibility for providing policy and program support as well as administrative and managerial assistance to DS/HTP and the Regional Security Offices RSOs in assigned regions. Major Duties: Who May Apply: Job Status: Duration Appointment: This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract PSC position. PSC s do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. Contract is 1 year; renewable up to 4 years. Conditions of Employment: Education: Education requirements do not apply to this vacancy announcement. Requirements: Qualifications: Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement. Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience establishing plans, priorities, and budget for security programs. Experience preparing written communication for internal and external audiences. Experience reviewing and evaluating security surveys.
