Cleared Security Escorts / Construction Observers
Falken Industries is hiring Cleared Security Escorts / Construction Observers to support ongoing facility projects at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER). You will escort uncleared personnel, monitor work in controlled areas, maintain positive control of tools/materials, and ensure all site activities comply with base and security procedures. You will report to a Site Security Manager and coordinate closely with government representatives, contractors, and trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Escort and continuously monitor uncleared workers within restricted/controlled areas.
- Verify identification, control access, and enforce site/post entry/exit procedures.
- Maintain detailed activity logs (personnel, tools, materials, incidents).
- Monitor work for compliance with security requirements; immediately report deviations.
- Support inventories and end-of-shift accountability of tools and materials.
- Follow base safety rules and wear required PPE; stop work for unsafe/unauthorized actions.
- Communicate clearly via radio/phone with the SSM, COR, and project leads.
- Protect sensitive information; uphold need-to-know and no-photography policies.
- Support after-hours or weekend coverage as mission requires (overtime is compensated).
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and active DoD TOP Secret (or higher) clearance.
- 2+ years in security, military, law enforcement, construction oversight, or related escort roles.
- Strong situational awareness, note-taking, and incident reporting skills.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to enforce rules tactfully but firmly.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; lift/carry up to 35 lbs; work indoors/outdoors in Alaska weather.
- Valid driver's license; eligible for base access and company vehicle pass (if required).
- Ability to pass drug test upon hire.
- Hourly: $42–$45/hr depending on experience and clearance level.
- Overtime: 10 hours/week at 1.5× (guaranteed); additional OT may be available with mission needs.
- Shifts: Day shift by default; some evenings/weekends/holidays possible with notice. *Quarterly Bonus of 1k (4k annual)
