Security Officer

Schedule: M-F 4:15 pm to 12:15 am
Pay Range: $14.44 - $18.45 depending on experience
What You'll Do:
- Patrol campus buildings and grounds (on foot and by vehicle) to ensure safety and security.
- Lock and unlock facility doors according to the security schedule.
- Respond to emergencies and direct emergency services as needed.
- Provide escort services for staff at shift changes or after-hours.
- Monitor parking and assist with large events.
- Write security reports and document observations.
- Assist with after-hours maintenance calls, supply deliveries, and inter-campus mail.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean record (no violations in the past 3 years).
- Ability to stay alert, think quickly, and respond to emergency situations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Active role with walking, standing, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs.)
- Ability to respond quickly and clearly in various situations.
