Location: Dallas, TX (100% Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract (6 Months with Potential Extension)
Schedule: MondayFriday (Rotating Shifts: 7:00 AM4:00 PM or 8:00 AM5:00 PM)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Field Service Dispatcher to support daily field operations by coordinating work assignments, dispatching field personnel, and ensuring service requests are completed efficiently. This role serves as a key communication hub between field crews, customers, and internal departments to help maintain high service levels while supporting critical utility operations.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at multitasking, and has strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Dispatch and route field personnel using company dispatch systems to support daily operational needs.
- Prioritize, assign, and adjust workloads to meet service-level expectations and changing business demands.
- Monitor service orders and ensure work is completed accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for service-order questions, updates, and issue resolution.
- Communicate effectively with field personnel to provide support, resolve issues, and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Manage a high volume of phone calls, emails, electronic work requests, and internal communications.
- Collaborate with customers and internal departments to resolve service-order exceptions and scheduling conflicts.
- Coordinate resources and assets to support operational priorities and customer commitments.
- Make timely decisions while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operations environment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous dispatching, scheduling, customer service, operations support, or logistics experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Comfortable working at a computer workstation for extended periods.
- Ability to work effectively with employees, field personnel, and customers at all levels.
