MAU is hiring a Night Shift Security and Loss Prevention Specialist for our client in Raleigh, NC. As a Security and Loss Prevention Specialist, you will lead security and loss prevention efforts to protect people, products, and data, coordinating security operations, investigations, risk management, and emergency response. - 2-4 years of experience in loss prevention, security, military, and/or law enforcement
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field
- Fluency in Spanish, Hindi, and/or Farsi in addition to English
- Strong knowledge of physical security systems
- Working knowledge of Video Management Systems (VMS)
- Proven ability to organize work, data, and processes
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Investigative experience, such as Wicklander-Zulawski, with practical application
- Strong organizational, collaboration, and leadership abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to travel between locations
- Ability to work all shifts, including overnight
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and HRIS
- Conduct system diagnostics of CCTV, intrusion alarms, access control, employee screening, and other key security systems.
- Develop proactive security strategies and recommend system upgrades, enhancements, changes, and additions.
- Keep stakeholders informed of key issues, concerns, strategies, and overall department performance.
- Provide leadership and direction during emergency and crisis situations.
- Ensure organizational leaders, Human Resources, Legal, security service providers, and local law enforcement receive timely, accurate, and actionable security information.
- Triage, escalate, and respond to security incidents to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Conduct confidential investigations involving alleged theft, fraud, and critical incidents.
- Identify vulnerabilities involving products, intellectual property, data, physical security, inventory, brand protection, and business processes.
- Develop and implement mitigation plans to reduce or eliminate identified vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- Perform regular physical security audits and develop action plans to address identified issues.
- Provide ongoing security education to team members and operations teams.
- Communicate security incidents effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed reports, data, and security information for stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work primarily in an office environment and on production floors.
- May be exposed to elevated noise levels in production areas.
- Work with and around large groups.
- May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, scaffolding, elevated work areas, and chemicals.
- Use finger dexterity for typing, presenting, drawing, and entering information.
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Perform prolonged computer work and view computer screens for extended periods.
- Travel to production facilities as needed.
- Occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Hear and speak clearly to communicate effectively.
- Safely navigate production floors while following all safety requirements.
