Security Officer

Hourly Rate: $29.93
What you will be doing:
- Provide security, emergency, and first aid assistance
- Implement, as directed by the Security Manager, all policies and programs related to Security Services
- Guide and support all leaders and colleagues with respect to safety & security procedures
- Educate all new Fairmont colleagues on safety & security
- Assist in the training of all new security officers
- Create and maintain proper documentation on any incidents reported by guests or colleagues
- Ensure adherence to Lost & Found procedures including accepting items with proper documentation, assisting colleagues & guests with inquiries, maintaining accurate logs and following retention guidelines.
- Investigate and follow up on any reports made by guests or colleagues
- Review the business continuity plan with the security manager and ensure that all updates are communicated to colleagues, and that all necessary training is provided
- Conduct lock interrogations and assist Engineering Department with lock repairs
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols
Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent or vocational training
Experience:
- Security, law enforcement, and/or loss prevention experience is an asset
Licenses or Certificates (must be provided within 48 hours of an employment offer):
- State of Hawaii Guard Card
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- CPR/First Aid Certification
