Position Summary
General Description
This is a full-time position in support of the daily administration and operation of Palatka Municipal Airport providing customer service, administrative and fueling operation assistance. Responsibilities include; maintaining administrative records to ensure operational and financial requirements of the airport are met; answering telephone calls, conducting retail sales via cash, check, or credit card; recording transactions in QuickBooks and ADG accounting software or similar software; processing purchase order requisitions; preparing financial reports for submission to the City Finance Department; preparing monthly invoices; processing rent payments; and managing retail fuel, pilot store and vending inventories. Serves as the team lead, in the absence of the Airport Manager, ensuring the day-to-day operation of the Palatka Municipal Airport operational (airfield, FBO services, and fueling services) elements are functional; and provide input to the Airport Manager for staffing coverage. Additional, operational tasks include "marshaling" arriving aircraft and departing large aircraft into and out of parking area, assisting passengers with baggage, and ground transportation needs and providing ground support to flight crews (including occasional re-fueling of aircraft).

- Knowledge of aircraft and airport operations and procedures preferred.
- Good communication skills and positive attitude when dealing with customers.
- Intermediate to advance working knowledge of automated systems including MSOffice, QuickBooks, and "Point of Sales" Credit Card machines
- Ability to manage multiple assignments.
- Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions.
- Ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with department personnel, management, tenants, consultants, and the general public.
- Ability to access, operate and maintain various software applications.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment, e.g., computer terminals, printers, copy machines, telephone systems, facsimile machines.
- High School graduate with six months experience in type of work described, or, equivalent combination of training/experience in a related field provided exposure to the knowledge, skills and abilities required of the job was gained.
- Florida Driver's License

- Acceptable eyesight, hearing (with or without correction), lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds, reaching, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, balancing, stooping, climbing, crawling, driving, operating equipment.
