We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for major commercial and institutional projects in the Tampa area. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Client Details This is a well-established Florida-based general contractor with offices across the state and a strong reputation for delivering complex projects in sectors such as K-12 education, higher education, institutional, military, corrections, ports, and large commercial builds. Description Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and schedules. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to maintain efficient workflow. Enforce safety protocols and quality control measures on-site. Collaborate with project managers and preconstruction teams to resolve issues and maintain timelines. Utilize project management software (Procore experience preferred) for documentation and reporting. Profile A successful Superintendent should have: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial or institutional construction. Florida construction experience strongly preferred. Background in K-12, higher education, corrections, ports, or large commercial projects is a plus. Procore proficiency preferred. Degree in construction-related field is ideal but not required.
