Schedule: Weekday overnight shifts with rotating weekend coverage | 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Armed Mobile Patrol Officer to provide overnight security services for commercial properties throughout the Grand Junction area. This position combines vehicle and foot patrol responsibilities while supporting multiple client locations during overnight operations.
The ideal candidate is attentive, dependable, and capable of working independently while maintaining a professional presence and responding effectively to changing situations.
Primary Responsibilities
Mobile Patrol Operations
- Conduct scheduled vehicle patrols between assigned commercial properties.
- Perform routine foot patrols to inspect buildings, parking lots, entrances, and perimeter areas.
- Lock and unlock client facilities according to established schedules.
- Verify that doors, gates, and access points are properly secured.
- Monitor assigned properties for suspicious activity, trespassing, vandalism, or other security concerns.
- Maintain a visible security presence to discourage unauthorized activity.
- Identify safety hazards or maintenance issues and report them promptly.
- Assist in preserving a safe environment for clients, employees, and authorized visitors.
- Respond professionally to alarms, security incidents, and client requests.
- Assess situations quickly and take appropriate action following company procedures.
- Notify supervisors or emergency responders when additional assistance is required.
- Protect client property while maintaining professionalism during all interactions.
- Complete detailed patrol reports and daily activity logs.
- Document incidents, observations, and unusual events accurately.
- Record patrol completion using company-approved reporting systems.
- Communicate operational updates to supervisors before the end of each shift.
- Valid driver's license with a clean three-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Personal firearms are suitable for duty assignments.
- Ability to meet all applicable armed security licensing and qualification requirements.
- Strong observation and decision-making abilities.
- Professional communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
- Successful completion required background screening.
- Previous experience in armed patrol, mobile security, law enforcement, military, or related fields.
- Current firearms qualifications, certifications, or other armed security credentials.
- Experience securing commercial buildings or multi-property accounts.
- Familiarity with electronic reporting systems and mobile workforce applications.
- Overnight assignments covering multiple commercial properties.
- Combination of vehicle patrol and walking inspections.
- Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Frequent driving between client locations.
- Independent work requires sound judgment and consistent attention to detail.
- Full-time overnight schedule with consistent hours.
