JOB SUMMARY
The Surveillance Technician is responsible for providing support to the Surveillance Department of Derby City Gaming.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sets up new hardware such as cameras, switches, servers, etc.
- Installs and troubleshoots company approved software and web applications
- Programming cameras, switches, servers, computers, etc.
- Provides quality problem resolution and process demonstration to the Surveillance Team.
- Educates users to reduce reoccurring issues by offering solutions to problems in a proactive way.
- Effectively and efficiently reviews all cameras as well as recording decks to analyze video and determine the validity of reports and/or investigative reviews.
- Maintains familiarity with gaming law, regulations, company policies and procedures.
- Diligently monitors all company assets as well as monitoring all employees for procedural violations.
- Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of procedures and policies for all departments.
- Maintains storage of media reviewed for investigative results and photographical purposes.
- Creates and maintains technical documentation.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to assume responsibility relative to Surveillance Technician.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the Surveillance department.
- One to Two years of experience as a Surveillance/ IT Technician or degree in related field or equivalent combination of work experience and education is preferred
- Ability to obtain a valid Racing License
