Summary
As an Operations Dispatcher, you'll be responsible for assigning crews and equipment based on job requirements. You'll coordinate schedules, track job timelines, and serve as a point of contact between crews and customers. Your day-to-day work will help keep jobs organized and running as expected.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review the daily work schedule before jobs are carried out, assigning crews as needed and ensuring they are notified in advance
- Assist in assigning and printing all job-related paperwork
- Communicate the next day's schedule to employees
- Assist in pre-calling customers to confirm next day's schedule
- Monitor job schedules to avoid crew overlaps and unusual equipment requests
- Review and approve job tickets
- Act as the liaison between customers and crews to resolve any issues during jobs
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office
- 2+ years of dispatching experience in transportation and/or logistics preferred
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Strong communication skills with the ability to problem-solve as issues arise
