Among the notable recognitions, the city received gold certification as a Community for all Ages and was designated a Walk Friendly Community and Bicycle Friendly Community.The Probation Officer, under supervision of the Court Administrator, performs a variety of clerical, technical, and administrative tasks to facilitate the efficient, effective operations of the Municipal Court Probation Program.Pay range: $22.79-$29.18 per hour**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*** Associate's degree in related field required* Minimum of three years' experience in criminal justice, social programs or legal-related procedures required* Must be bondable**NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:*** Ability to support an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment* Knowledge of legal language and procedures related to municipal court operations and probation functions* Knowledge of pertinent local, state, and federal laws, codes and regulations* Working knowledge with criminal history reporting and Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System (MULES) and REJIS systems* Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments and with members of the public as needed* Considerable knowledge of the principles of business letter writing, English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation, principles and practices of filing and legal file systems, principles and procedures of record keeping* Ability to maintain accurate records and enter data accurately* Ability to work independently with little or no supervision* Ability to interview defendants and make objective analysis and sound recommendations#J-18808-Ljbffr
