Summary
Job Title
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Assign repair orders to technicians based on skill level, experience, certifications, and current workload
- Monitor technician productivity and maintain a balanced workflow
- Prioritize customer waiters, appointments, warranty repairs, and emergency repairs
- Coordinate with Service Advisors regarding repair status and estimated completion times
- Monitor shop capacity and adjust work assignments as needed
- Ensure repair orders are dispatched accurately and efficiently
- Track technician hours, efficiency, productivity
- Work with the parts department to minimize delays caused by unavailable parts
- Maintain communication between technicians, advisors, and management
- Review repair orders for completeness before dispatching
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous automotive dealership service experience preferred
- Experience as a Service Dispatcher, Shop Foreman, Service Advisor, or Technician is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes
- Knowledge of warranty and customer pay repair procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with dealer management systems
