As a Junior Industrial Security Officer, a typical day will include the following duties: Supports the day-to-day operations and administration of GCI's physical security program. This role focuses on managing security vendors, coordinating maintenance and service of electronic security systems, administering access control processes, and developing and maintaining policies and procedures that support a secure environment. Working under the direction of security leadership, this position serves as a liaison between internal stakeholders, facilities, IT, and third-party security providers to ensure security systems operate efficiently and comply with organizational standards.

Minimum Qualification
  • 2-5 years of experience in physical security operations, facilities security, or electronic security systems.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and service providers
  • Familiarity with electronic access control and intrusion detection systems
  • Experience writing or maintaining policies, procedures, and operational documentation
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of physical security principles and best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and competing priorities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written communication skills with ability to develop/maintain policies and procedures
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive security information
