Summary
Overview Chenega Sentinel 360 is seeking a Badging Specialist to support visitor control and credentialing operations at a government facility in Albuquerque, NM. This role is responsible for issuing, controlling, and maintaining DOE security badges while ensuring compliance with federal identity, access, and security requirements**This position is contingent upon contract award**Responsibilities Process and issue permanent and temporary DOE security badges in accordance with site proceduresVerify identity, clearance status, and access authorization prior to credential issuanceOperate computerized badging and access control systems to encode and manage credentialsProcess classified and unclassified visit requests and maintain associated documentationPerform HSPD-12 badging functions, including identity verification and credential activationAccount for, secure, recover, and destroy badges and badging materials as requiredMaintain accurate records and files related to badge issuance, visits, and access actionsProvide courteous, professional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendorsOther duties as assignedQualifications High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)Active DOE Q ClearanceMinimum of one (1) year of experience in administrative, security, visitor control, or credentialing/badging functionsExperience working with access control systems, visitor management systems, or identification/badging systemsAbility to work in a secure environment and properly handle sensitive and controlled informationKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow established proceduresPhysical Demands: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
