Calling All Student Engineers! Earn While You Learn!San Bernardino County has an exciting internship opportunity in
Land Use Services. Land Use provides a dedicated balance in the areas of housing, business, and recreational needs for the diverse cultures and communities of San Bernardino County. This is accomplished through comprehensive regional planning and enforcement of building standards, land uses, and environmental impacts.
Come Learn With Us! Students will learn and assist with the following: - Cost estimates for economic comparison for various project alternatives.
- Development plans to determine the impact on County projects and facilities.
- Evaluate tract development, improvement of grading plans, bonding requirements, and contract agreements.
- Coordinate with governmental agencies and jurisdictions to ensure conformity with County standards, Planning Commission requirements, State Map Act, Subdivision Ordinance, and relevant State standards.
Student intern positions are temporary positions and does not obtain status as a regular County employee.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Background: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation.

Minimum RequirementsEnrollment in a program leading towards forty-five (45) semester (45 quarter) units or a Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering or a closely related field.
