    The Contra Costa County Health Services Department is offering an excellent career opportunity to fill one (1) Permanent Intermittent and one (1) Permanent Full-time Diagnostic Imaging Technologist III - B (Mammo & IR) positions located in the Health Services - Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) in Martinez, CA.

    The Contra Costa Health Services CCRMC houses the Diagnostic Imaging Department which provides diagnostic services (routine and specialized) and interpretation for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients of all ages.

    We are looking for someone who will be able to perform general and complex diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures in mammography or interventional radiology.     • Documenting procedures and events in the patient’s medical records and departmental logs

    The eligible list established from this recruitment may remain in effect for six (6) months.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Certification Required: Possession and maintenance of a valid certificate as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) issued by the California Department of Public Health; AND current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); AND possession of a valid Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy (RTF) Permit issued by the California Department of Public Health; AND c ertification in Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification issued by the American Red Cross.

    Mammography Assignment:

    Certification: Possession of a current Mammographic Radiologic Technology certification issued by the California Department of Public Health.

    Experience: Two (2) years of full-time, or its equivalent, experience performing diagnostic imaging procedures with at least six (6) months performing Mammography procedures in an acute care hospital.

    Interventional Radiography Assignment:

    Experience: Two (2) years of full-time, or its equivalent, experience performing diagnostic imaging procedures with at least six (6) months performing Interventional Radiography diagnostic procedures in an acute care hospital.

    Desirable Certification: Possession of a valid Cardiac Interventional (CI) Radiography or Vascular Interventional (VI) Radiography certificate issued by ARRT.

    Selection Process

(Weighted 100%)

    The Human Resources Department may change the examination steps noted above in accordance with the Personnel Management Regulations and accepted selection practices.

    CONVICTION HISTORY

    After you receive a conditional job offer, you will be fingerprinted, and your fingerprints will be sent to the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The resulting report of your conviction history (if any) will be used to determine whether the nature of your conviction conflicts with the specific duties and responsibilities of the job for which you have received a conditional job offer. If a conflict exists, you will be asked to present any evidence of rehabilitation that may mitigate the conflict, except when federal or state regulations bar employment in specific circumstances. Having a conviction history does not automatically preclude you from a job with Contra Costa County. If you accept a conditional job offer, the Human Resources department will contact you to schedule a fingerprinting appointment.

    DISASTER SERVICE WORKER
    All Contra Costa County employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state and local law. Employment with the County requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all Disaster Service Worker-related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
