    School of Education Supervisor Pool

    The School of Education at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for our pool of part-time lecturers. We are in high need of applicants interested in coaching Educational Specialist, Dual Language, Multiple Subject, and Single Subject

    Minimum qualifications:
    • A master's degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field.
    • California Credential Matching Program of Interest (Multiple Subject, Educational Specialist, Single Subject
    • California Bilingual Authorization (If interested in Dual Language Supervision)
    • The ability to travel is required during the school day for in person coaching and meetings with Teacher Candidates at districts across North San Diego County and Southwest Riverside
    • Per California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.

    Preferred qualifications:
    • A terminal degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field.
    • Experience with coaching teacher candidates and/or new teachers.
    • Flexible schedule during CSUSM 16-week semesters (Fall and Spring)
    • Proficient in Spanish
    • Experience in Dual Language Classrooms
    • Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.

    Salary commensurate with degree level and experience
    • Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,007 - $8,000 per full-time month

    The salary schedule information for the Lecturer - Academic Year Classification is available based on the following ranges:
    • CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer A - AY: $5,007 - $6,359 per full-time month
    • CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer B - AY: $5,925 - $12,594 per full-time month

    The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.

    Timeline: Applications are accepted and reviewed as needed, on an ongoing basis throughout the 2024/25 Academic Year.

    Applicant pools are used to fill short-term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This applicant pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Applications in this pool ad will only be good for the current academic year. This pool will be closed effective May 31st. If you wish to be considered for the next academic year, you will need to apply to the new pool as it becomes available by June 15th.
