Duties and Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Human Lactation Academic Lead, the Outreach Ambassador is responsible for scheduling and conducting outreach presentations to students regarding the minor in human lactation. Minor CSUN’s Comprehension Lactation Education Trainings (CLET) and human lactation scholarship opportunities at CSUN and/or local community colleges. Outreach Ambassador will also participate in campus tabling events where the minor in human lactation is promoted. Other outreach duties as assigned. Some travel may be required.
Qualifications: - Graduated from CSUN with a minor in Human Lactation
- CLE Certificate
- 1+ year of experience of making outreach presentations
Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities: - Communicate with CSUN and Community College faculty regarding scheduling classroom outreach presentations (in person or via Zoom) each semester.
- Schedule 4-8 outreach presentations each semester
- Attend class (in person or via Zoom) to conduct 10-15-minute outreach presentations to students regarding the minor in Human Lactation, CLET and/or Human Lactation scholarship opportunities for CSUN and/or local community college students.
- Communicate with HSCI FCS and Nursing Chairs/faculty regarding attending tabling events each semester to represent/promote the minor in Human Lactation, CLET and Human Lactation scholarship opportunities.
- Attending campus tabling events to represent/promote the minor in Human Lactation, CLET and Human Lactation scholarship opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).
The anticipated hiring range:
$24.01 - $25 /hour Full Pay range:
$24.01 - $46.32 /hour Time Base: Part-Time
