Enterprise Applications (ERP) Engineer - Lead

Job Summary

This position designs, develops, documents, and maintains campus enterprise applications, with a particular focus on PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Human Resources systems. This position leads the Enterprise Applications Engineering team, ensuring successful operations and delivery of supported services, provides excellent customer service, prioritizes and assigns daily work, manages smaller projects, and handles escalations and incident response.

This position is eligible for remote work pursuant to Cal Poly’s Telecommuting and Remote Work Guidelines and the CSU policy requiring that all work be performed within the State of California.
Department Summary
I nformation Technology Services (ITS) is a fast-moving team that is responsible for helping Cal Poly achieve academic excellence through developing and implementing learning, teaching, and administrative solutions which leverage technology that align with strategic goals and objectives. With a focus on continuous improvement, ITS fosters innovation, supports continuous learning, and develops people to their full potential. Our team of more than 170 professionals works in a DevOps environment to shape the technology landscape at Cal Poly.
Key Qualifications

• Ability to provide leadership, analyze needs, and ensure quality delivery of products and services.
  
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and assign work by leading sprint planning meetings, standup meetings, and value stream delivery for designated service area.
  
• Demonstrated skill providing work direction and support for others and the ability to use reason and negotiation to build consensus towards decisions; demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  
• Demonstrated skill developing, integrating, and deploying ERP applications (PeopleSoft highly preferred) and web-based application technologies, including account management, data and system integrations, browser-based client interaction, and database application logic.
  
• Demonstrated skills developing applications using modern languages (e.g.,PeopleCode, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, etc.)
  
• Demonstrated experience using databases/query languages to store, manipulate, and retrieve data (e.g., MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or Aurora)
  

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $94,500 - $110,040 Per Year

Classification Range: $61,896 - $152,760 Per Year
