    The Job

    San Bernardino County is recruiting for a Hospital Dietitian - Per Diem* who is responsible for performing nutritional assessments, consultations, and specialized diet instruction at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC). Dietitians d evelop and implement plans of nutritional care based on an assessment of needs and consultation with physicians and other health care team members regarding appropriate nutritional care, as well as, e valuating and monitoring individuals receiving enteral/parenteral nutrition.

    ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

    Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.     CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Appointment: This is a Per Diem assignment, which does not obtain status as a regular County employee.     $50,232.00 - $72,571.20 Annually Public Health Dietitian $59,675.20 - $86,070.40 Annually
    Public Health Lead Dietitian $62,587.20 - $90,376.00 Annually
    Public Health Supervising Dietitian $71,510.40 - $98,280.00 Annually

    Availability: Per-Diem shifts may vary, generally from 8 am-5pm. Candidates must be willing to work other shifts if necessary.

    Minimum Requirements

    Candidates must meet both of the following Registration and Experience requirements:

    Registration: Must possess and maintain current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian.

    -AND-

    Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.

    Desired Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will be willing to learn and cross train in different clinical areas and will process the ability to work through problems, provide solutions and recommend improvements. Additionally, the candidate must be able to collaborate with a multidisciplinary health care team to provide instructions and appropriate nutritional care to patients, their families, caregivers, and the public. Acute care hospital experience is highly desired.
