    General Description

    The ideal candidate should have at least ten (10) years of litigation experience in general civil and/or employment litigation in state and federal courts, including appellate work. The ideal candidate should have substantial first and/or second chair trial experience and experience working with Assistant and Associate Attorneys. The applicant should also be capable of handling all stages of litigation including discovery, depositions and alternative dispute resolution. Applicants must have experience managing paralegals and/or administrative staff. Experience drafting legislation is a plus. The Supervisory Senior Attorney in this position will have extensive contact with Atlanta City Council, multiple City Departments and the governing bodies of several other municipalities.

    Applicants must possess strong written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, sound judgment, professionalism and the interpersonal skills necessary to contribute to a litigation team handling complex legal matters in a fast-paced environment.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education and Experience: Juris Doctorate degree required. Must be a member of good standing with the State Bar of Georgia or the ability to obtain membership within one (1) year of employment. Must have at least at least ten (10) years of post-graduate experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in municipal, county, and/or constitutional law.

    Demonstrated experience with aviation law is a plus.
