    POSITION EXPECTATIONS

    The Security Dispatcher (On-Call) will maintain an efficient Control Center for the safety and security of all individuals on property. This position is responsible for the text and voice-based emergency notification announcements including evacuations and will be the liaison with Convention Services Managers (CSM) for show requirements, client and contractor needs, LVCVA partner and ambassador service calls.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Coordinate all emergency response to the LVCVA for crime, injuries, illnesses or catastrophic situations.
    • Respond and dispatch all text and voice-based emergency notification announcements up to and including evacuations.
    • Address show requirements, client needs, LVCVA partner and ambassador service requests.
    • Administer and maintain all LVCVA ambassador and partner badges and access.
    • Receive and screen a variety of phone calls and visitors to obtain the reason for call.
    • Prioritize customer service in order of radio, telephone and in-person.
    • Maintain lost and found property.
    • Maintain multiple PC and software applications.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    EDUCATION AND SKILLS
    • Minimum high school diploma or GED
    • Type minimum 35 wpm (confirmed)
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
    • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
    • Ability to support and respect the various cultural and ethnic values, behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes of a diverse workplace

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS

    Must have a valid Nevada driver’s license at the time of appointment and maintain it during employment.

    This position is expected to be the direct contact for all individuals on property and their requests. This interaction requires world class customer service at all times.

    The individual in this position must be able to work in a typical office setting, use standard office equipment, including a computer. They must have the ability to read printed materials, a computer monitor, and communicate in person or over the telephone. They must have the ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
