Position Description: Position Description: Duties of this position include but are not limited to assisting customers in our reception area by processing documents and answering questions about Agency services and benefits; receiving and processing mail; serving customers in our community resource room; greeting and assisting customers both face-to-face and by phone; processing public assistance case alerts and directing customers to Agency and community programs and resources.
Brief Description: Brief Description: Our Agency delivers services to the Licking County community in the areas of public assistance, workforce development and protective services. JFS Customer Service Specialists serve as initial points of contact for our community. This is an excellent opportunity to come grow with us by representing the Agency through services such as phone operations, scanning, and mail processing, as well as cross-training on reception services and community resources. All customer service positions work together to ensure quality services are provided to individuals and families in need. Customer service team members will utilize specialized computer programs, as well as traditional programs such as Word, Excel, document imaging, and email.
Job Prerequisites: Job Prerequisites: Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction, and reading and speaking common English vocabulary, one course or six months experience in typing, keyboarding or word processing, and a valid driver's license. Also requires an additional twelve months experience in typing, keyboarding or word processing and working in an office environment handling in-person and/or telephone contacts with clients, customers and/or general public.

Education, training and/or experience in an amount equal to the Minimum Qualifications stated above.
ADDITIONAL POSITION SPECIFIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (AGENCY QUALIFICATIONS):- Regular and punctual attendance in order to maintain and fulfill job duties;
- May be exposed to hostile clients/individuals;
- May be exposed to infectious clients/diseases or environments; and,
- Physical dexterity/fitness sufficient to carry/move case files, case file carts, and to file/retrieve case records.
- Must have valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record as determined by Licking County Government.
Compensation: Compensation:$17.38 - $21.72 per hour (placement in pay range is dependent on experience and education)
