    Job Summary

    We are seeking a motivated and experienced Swim Instructor to join our Olathe Community Center team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching swim lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers. This role requires a passion for water safety, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.

    Starting Salary - $16.50 an hour.

    The Swim Instructor is responsible for teaching swim lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers, requiring excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of swimming techniques, and a commitment to promoting water safety and fitness.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Teaches swim lessons to participants of various ages and skill levels, ensuring they receive instruction appropriate to their abilities; provides clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents or guardians regarding progress and areas for improvement.
    • Develops and implements lesson plans, adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of each student .
    • Enforces safety rules and regulations in and around the pool area to ensure a safe environment for all participants; performs rescues and administers first aid when necessary.
    • Offers exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.


    Qualifications

    Experience: Previous experience as a swim instructor or in a related field is required. Must be 15 years of age or older.

    Education: None Required.
