The Finance Department is an internal support department that provides General Accounting, Finance, Tax Administration, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Purchasing, and Utility Billing for the following agencies: City of Coachella, Coachella Sanitary District, Coachella Fire Protection District, Coachella Financing Authority, Coachella Educational and Governmental Access Cable Channel Corporation, Coachella Water Authority, and Successor Agency to the Coachella Redevelopment Agency. Under the administrative direction of the City Manager, the Finance Director manages all functions and activities of the Finance Department. The Finance Director directs and administers the fiscal operations and activities of the City including budgeting, investments, financial transaction processing, record keeping and reporting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, utility billing, and business licensing. The City of Coachella is seeking a knowledgeable, collaborative, and innovative leader to serve as its next Finance Director. The City invites candidates to apply who are both experienced Finance Directors as well as those seeking to further develop their careers in finance administration.  The incoming Director must have the ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously.

The annual salary range for the Finance Director is $181,395.01 - $220,486.76 and placement is dependent on experience and qualifications.
