CITY OF FOLEY EMPLOYMENT NOTICE
SANITATION WORKER

We are accepting applications for the position of Sanitation Worker in the Sanitation Department.
Examples of Work:
- Picks up residential garbage and recycling materials
- Picks up residential bulk items
- Assists residential customers with special needs with retrieval of residential waste
- Assembles trash cans
- Assists with special events
Starting annual salary is $ 30,009.00 with excellent benefits including paid health, dental, and life insurance, retirement through State of Alabama Retirement Systems, disability income coverage, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave and annual merit raises. Successful applicant must pass both a drug test and a background check, which includes driving record and criminal history. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Education and/or Experience:
- Requires a High School Diploma or its equivalent and six (6) months of experience in a job related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Physical Demands:
- Heavy work which requires exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
