    POWER SYSTEMS ELECTRICIAN
    (POWER FACILITIES ELECTRICIAN)

    Recruitment Open To:The Colorado River Commission of Nevada (Commission)
    is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Power Facilities Electrician (PFE) for its
    Power Deliver Project Group. This is an unclassified, full-time position open to all
    qualified applicants and the hiring may occur during the recruitment process. This
    position is appointed and served at the pleasure of the Executive Director of the Colorado
    River Commission of Nevada and reports directly to the Power Facilities Manager.
    AGENCY RESPONSIBITIES: Under the direction of the Power Facilities Manager, the
    PFE performs operation and maintenance tasks related to CRCNV's high voltage
    transmission and distribution system. The PFE is expected to perform at a journeyman
    level, capable of completing routine electrical and substation maintenance tasks with
    moderate direct supervision. The PFE is expected to work independently on routine tasks
    and in conjunction with the Power Facilities Manager.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:
    Perform routine maintenance of equipment and tools. Perform routine maintenance of
    fleet equipment. Perform routine building maintenance and custodial duties, such as
    HVAC maintenance, lighting maintenance, painting, and cleaning.
    Perform equipment, facility and system maintenance programs and instructions, including
    preventative maintenance checks and inspections. Assist with routine equipment
    maintenance projects, such as oil degasification, fan and motor replacements, gasket
    replacements, panel wiring, yard maintenance, and equipment cleaning and painting.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION (Continued):
    Assist with major equipment overhaul and replacement projects, such as bushing
    replacements, arrester replacements, and equipment contact replacements. Respond to
    system emergencies and unscheduled outages.
    Carryout standard operating procedures for equipment, facilities, and systems. Comply
    with Commission's facility clearance and switching policies. Carryout equipment, facility,
    and system energization programs. Maintain certified switchman status and conduct
    switching as necessary.
    Perform quality assurance and safety inspections of contractor-performed work, including
    both capital projects and maintenance contracts, occurring at Commission substation and
    transmission line facilities.
    MINUMUM Qualifications:
    Electricians' journeyman's card, proficiency in low voltage electrical systems, experience
    in medium voltage, experience in PV systems, experience with system controls, ability to
    problem solve, ability to work in a team environment, ability to represent the Commission
    in a positive manner to customers.
    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
    A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of
    continued employment. A background check is required.
    APPROXIMATE GROSS Salary: Starting salary depends on education, experience,
    knowledge, and abilities of a candidate to fill the needs of the position. Candidates with
    less experience may be considered with a lower starting salary with the opportunity for
    increases over time as the candidate grows in the position. The salary is up to $106,409
    for the Employee/Employer retirement plan pay scale and is adjusted lower for Employer
    Paid retirement plan.

In contrast, the State's lowest point (along the Colorado River) is only 470 feet above sea level. From majestic mountains to desert valleys, nature has endowed Nevada with diverse and unique ecosystems.
