Full-time position available with the Neighborhood & Community Services Department, Outreach located at 414 East 12th Street
Salary Range: $6,489-$9,734/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
- Overseeing all operations of the Outreach Division within the community Develops and organizes strategies to implement procedures community engagement goals and objectives.
- Institute policies and procedures.
- Trains and manages administrative staff.
- Interprets and apply ordinances related to community outreach operations with staff and residents.
- Integrates multiple sources of information and data into clear and concise reports and presentations.
- Delivers presentations to City Council and other interested parties on community engagement matters. Prepare and recommend amendments to and revision of related codes and ordinances as directed.
- Promotes and maintain effective working relationships with interested industry groups, neighborhood groups, property owners, and other stakeholders.
- Stays up to date on all aspects of the.
- Performs related duties as required, including emergency responses as deemed applicable by the Director of The Neighborhood Services Department.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited bachelor's degree and 7 years of related professional experience of a progressively responsible nature in public or private sector program that includes one of the following: neighborhood preservation, enforcement or engagement; environmental policy and/or compliance; cultural arts; resident/business customer center management; resident assistance programs to include 2 years of supervisory experience in the related areas; OR an accredited Master's degree and 5 years of related professional experience of a progressively responsible nature in public or private sector program that includes one of the following: neighborhood preservation, enforcement or engagement; environmental policy and/or compliance; cultural arts; resident/business customer center management; resident assistance programs to include 2 years of supervisory experience in the related areas.

The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
