Job Summary This position involves supervisory responsibilities and leadership of the Venues Security programs, particularly in event settings. As an integral assistant to the Venues Security Manager, you will collaborate with public safety, traffic, and transportation agencies, staff, and contractors to plan and implement effective security strategies that ensure the smooth execution of each event. Key responsibilities include assisting in the development and enforcement of policies, procedures, and safety plans tailored for large-scale events, ensuring a secure environment for guests, clients, and employees.
The role also involves overseeing the security program’s budget, approving expenditures, and managing payroll, with a focus on event-driven staffing needs. You will manage security personnel, including hiring, scheduling, training, and disciplinary actions, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle the unique demands of each event. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Venues Security Manager, with performance evaluated through discussions, reports, and the results achieved in delivering safe and successful events.
Minimum Qualifications:Associate's Degree and two (2) years responsible security or law enforcement experience, one (1) year of which must have been in hospitality, event services, or public assembly; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
