Position Description: - Responsible for maintaining, recruiting, orienting and training volunteers. Responsible for developing, and organizing master gardener volunteer programs/activities.
Maintains the Master Gardener volunteer hours website and works with horticulture clientele.- Assist in answering horticulture-related questions/problems that come from clientele.
- Researching, analyzing, and teaching horticulture-related subject matter based on concerns within the county.
- Work collaboratively with the county ANR Educator and other county/state extension personnel with agricultural related programs and/or events (annual field day).

he primary role of the program assistant in Licking County is to serve as the coordinator for the Master Gardener Volunteer Program. Job Prerequisites: Qualifications:v Previous teaching experience and knowledge of horticulture highly desired. Must be able to work with diverse clientele.
v Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as be a member of a team setting.
v Requirements: High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
