    Position Description:
    • Responsible for maintaining, recruiting, orienting and training volunteers. Responsible for developing, and organizing master gardener volunteer programs/activities.

    Maintains the Master Gardener volunteer hours website and works with horticulture clientele.
    • Assist in answering horticulture-related questions/problems that come from clientele.
    • Researching, analyzing, and teaching horticulture-related subject matter based on concerns within the county.
    • Work collaboratively with the county ANR Educator and other county/state extension personnel with agricultural related programs and/or events (annual field day).
    Program: Master Gardener Volunteer Program Brief Description:
    The primary role of the program assistant in Licking County is to serve as the coordinator for the Master Gardener Volunteer Program.
    Job Prerequisites:
    Qualifications:

    v Previous teaching experience and knowledge of horticulture highly desired. Must be able to work with diverse clientele.

    v Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as be a member of a team setting.

    v Requirements: High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.

    Compensation:
    Salary: $16.49-$21.69/hourly
