    Pay Range: $20.44-$25.55

    Workdays & Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Division is a 24/7 Operation - weekend work may be required.

    A Senior Data Reporting Technician-Trainer position is available with The City of Fort Worth Police Department - Data Reporting Unit. This position will contribute to the City’s strategic goals, mission and vision by training, supervising and coordinating service program activities and operations in support of the Police Department. You will coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies and the general public and provide staff assistance. You will teach and provide guidance to Data Reporting Unit personnel.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • HS Diploma/GED
    • Three (3) years of responsible customer service experience
    • One (1) year of administrative and/or lead supervisory experience.
    • Final candidates selected for hire in the Police Department will be subject to a fingerprint/criminal history background check and polygraph examination.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Working knowledge of Central Square’s Records Enterprise or RMS, Mobile Enterprise or Visinet, Command Automated Dispatching (CAD) Enterprise, Word, OneNote, Excel and Outlook
    • Experience with supervision, training and performance evaluations
    • Extensive public contact customer service skills.
    • Work independently in the absence of supervision.
    • Bilingual - ability to speak, write, and understand Spanish.

    Senior Data Reporting Technician-Trainer responsibilities include:
    • Training, planning, reviewing and participating in the work of employees responsible for providing a wide variety of customer service in support of the Police Department
    • Produce, update and maintain divisional training and reference materials
    • Verify work of assigned employees for accuracy, proper work methods, techniques and compliance with applicable standards and specifications
    • Monitor and evaluate quality, responsiveness, efficiency and effectiveness of assigned customer service programs, service delivery methods and procedures
    • Gather relevant data and compile narrative and statistical reports
    • Maintain detailed and accurate files and records of police offense reports and correspondence
    • Interpret and explain City and FWPD customer service policies and procedures.
    • Interpret and explain Texas penal code and offense reporting procedures.
    • Perform other duties as requested.

    Physical Demands :

    Essential and other important responsibilities and duties require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods of time; may exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects; manual dexterity required.

    Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.

    Medical Program

    Vacation

    Wellness Program

    The city’s Healthy Challenge Wellness Program rewards all full-time, benefit-eligible employees on the city’s health insurance. The Healthy Challenge Program utilizes a points system. Participants may earn points throughout the year (Jan. 1-Dec. 15) for completing specific program activities and participants can redeem points at the end of the year for a cash reward.
