Loveland Fire Rescue Authority (LFRA) is seeking an organized, adaptable individual to join the Risk Reduction and Readiness Division as the Business Support Specialist in the Training office. The Business Support Specialist performs administrative work in support of the processing functions of the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority. Position will close to applicants on
Tuesday, October 22nd at 12 noon M.S.T. Salary Information: The salary range for this position is $18.03 - $25.24 per hour with an anticipated
hiring range of $20.34 - $21.63 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
Specifically, this position: - Is assigned to the Training Center. See the job description for full list of specific duties.
- Coordinates and sets up for meetings and events; develops promotional materials; and maintains instructor and facility calendars.
- Tracks and submits invoices for instructors and equipment usage.
- May be assigned to perform services and functions for and on behalf of the Front Range Fire Consortium (FRFC).
- Performs customer service duties on a regular basis including communicating policies, rules, and regulations in response to inquiries, conducting necessary research, and routing inquiries appropriately for more complex matters and interpretation.
- Accepts, reviews, and processes forms, reports, legal documents, applications, or similar materials in accordance with legal and procedural requirements.
- Receives telephone calls and determines which calls can be handled personally and which should be referred.
- Composes and prepares replies to a wide variety of communications when information is factual in nature or involves matters of established policies, procedure, or standard practices.
- Enters data into and maintains computer systems and databases; proofs data entry and corrects errors; runs standard reports as required.
- Performs administrative support type duties including reception, typing, filing, and similar type work.
The Business Support Specialist must have: - Advanced customer service skills and ability to maintain professional relationships.
- Advanced attention to detail skills with the capability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- The ability to read and comprehend rules, regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- The ability to interpret and apply a variety of organizational policies and procedures.
- The ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
- Intermediate computer skills including data management systems, as well as specific and customized software applications (e.g. records management, forms, and data analysis systems).
- Basic skill level using Microsoft Office Suite including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software and databases.
Education: - High School diploma or GED
Experience: - Preferred: two (2) years of experience in a directly related clerical or administrative support field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities.
