    The Job

    The San Bernardino County is recruiting for Programmers III who independently develop logic and coding for all web-enabled and client/server applications. Programmer III is a senior level position and are typically assigned lead worker responsibility because of their high degree of technical expertise and are expected to instruct and advise other programmers on programming techniques and languages.

    A current vacancy exists within the District Attorney's Office. The District's Attorney's Office is searching for a Programmer III who will independently architect and develop solutions in a cloud-forward environment, leveraging a diverse range of technologies including Azure and Dynamics 365.

    The eligible list may be used for future vacancies throughout the County as they occur.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Pre-Employment Process: Incumbent must successfully complete a background investigation (fingerprinting and work history/education check) in addition to a job-related physical exam, including a drug test.

    Availability: Appointees may occasionally work evening and weekend hours. Some overtime, on-call, or call back work may be required.

    Minimum Requirements

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years , within the last five (5) years, of full-time equivalent professional experience in a production environment writing code.

    Qualifying experience must have been using the following:
    • ASP.Net, or C#
    • SSRS
    • SQL Server
    • .NET Core
    • Azure SQL
    • JavaScript
    • HTML/CSS

    -- AND --

    REQUIRED EDUCATION: Fifteen (15) semester (23 quarter) units of completed college level courses in programming, computer science or software engineering. A list of coursework or transcripts must be submitted with the application unless applicant has completed a Bachelor's degree in a qualifying field.

    Substitution: A Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Software Engineering may substitute one (1) year of the required experience.
